This Saturday: ChillSet Live at JJ's Sports Bar & Grill in Northboro

We've played a lot of shows over the years. A lot of em. Take a moment to think about a bunch of shows, add 6, multuply that number by 11, subtract 2 for last-minute club cancellations, and you'll end up with a pretty big number. Welcome to our lives.

But there's nothing more exciting than playing a new venue. And that's exactly what we're doing this Saturday night. For the first time ever, ChillSet performs at JJ's Sports Bar and Grill in Northboro, MA. (Address: 380 Southwest Cutoff, Northboro, MA 01532). Show begins at 9:00pm and it don't stop till the break of dawn! (Correction: stops sometime around 12 - 1am).

Organized by our friends at Strive Entertainment Group, this place looks like a fantastic place to come see the band. Let us open our hymnals to what I believe are the perks of stopping by JJ's to see sexiest band in rock and roll:

• Location, location, location: They are conveniently located at the Junction of Routes 9 & 20 on the Shrewsbury / Northboro line. If you can't find your way here, it's time to visit the DMV and consider a future in bicycles. It also has the added quality of being particularly convenient for the band, as both roads can get us back to Brighton. 
• The Grub: I'm checking out the menu and I gotta tell you, it's right up my alley. Any time you offer buffalo wings that has a flavor called "Wow," you have my attention. Also something called "Adult Mac and Cheese," which I assume will be served with a garter and a men's magazine. Looks like it's a full kitchen until 10:00pm (yay!) followed by pub food the rest of the way. Hint: come early, put in that order early, then munch while you watch. This is quite an education you're receiving. I'm like the ITT Tech of How to Function Properly at a Show.

• The Price of Admission: Do we look like a band that would ask people to come try out a new venue with us and even think of charging to get in? Hell no. This is a FREE SHOW!!! Although, as usual, touching the band will cost you extra. And no, we can't make change for a dime...
• The Music: Many of you devoted ChillFans have come to learn, love, and respect the high art form of a great ChillSet show. From traditional acoustic arraingments that your parents made out to when they were 17 years old, to the sonic heights of ChillSet's own "Will Ferrell Medley," every show offers a great mix of dancing and laughing & laughing and dancing. Sometimes, the music even moves grown men to tears. Not the type of men I'd ever hang out with, but the world needs sensitive bartenders I guess.

• The Girls: Finally, a topic on the mind of everyone who wants to go to a good show. Yes, there will be girls. Many of them will be smoking hot. Do not talk to these women as you are likely to scare them away. Plus, they're probably thinking about me and my Size 34 waist anyways. Rather, watch them from afar, as if you were on a safari in Africa. Remember, you don't need to go lay down with lionesses to appreciate their destructive power and grace. Try picking off one of the smaller, weaker ones instead. Watch "A Beautiful Mind" again as a refresher for girl success.
• The Degenerate Gambling: Yup, I checked...they have Keno. And remember, EVERYONE'S a winner when you play Keno. Be smart: go 5 numbers, and just go 1,2,3,4,5. I've seen 4 people win $500 on that strategy alone. Plus, I don't think the number 73 has ever come up before.

• The Cause: Like I've said, it's always fun to play a new place and this looks like one that we want to keep coming back to again and again. So do you part - come to the show this Saturday and bring a few people with you. If possible, try to get at least one person who's never been to see ChillSet before. It will be the greatest Christmas / Hanukah / Kwanzaa / Festivus gift you'll ever give. (And guys, if you want to tell the girls you bring that you know the band in hopes that it'll help you seal the deal, I'll do my part and tell them the whole band was your idea.)
