ChillSet rocks Sullivan Hall

Just wanted to congratulate ChillSet on another rockin show last night!  The band packed up the van and took their music to Sullivan Hall in NYC.  The venue gave the band a perfect opportunity to showcase their new originals to their loyal NY ChillFans, who had probably only heard these jams on myspace before this show.  I thought the band sounded tight, and the setlist couldn't have been better.  Also, can't understate what Will Davis on bass brings to their sound.  We'll probably do a seperate article about him soon, but last night he rounded out ChillSet's sound and added an extra fullness needed for a venue like Sullivan's perfectly, especially on tunes like '95' and 'Railroad Betty.'  All in all, the band put on their usual fun set that us ChillFans have grown to love.  Last night was no exception.

By the way, I was blown away by the ChillSet following in NYC, they put up impressive numbers last night. Great stuff ChillFans. If I didn't get a chance to meet you at the gig, I apologize, but definitely leave a comment and let us all know what you thought of the show.... Now, Da Bears are beating up on Indy right now, so I gotta go enjoy this! peace!

Amazing show you guys. Now I actually know how good you are. Your manager certainly talks a big game about you. Good to know you guys back it up. The Will Ferrell Medley was the funniest thing I've ever heard!

I wasn't there but wish I was. And I will be in Cambridge. I am getting a kick out of posting anything to any blog, let alone a blog aboput Scott Fovel and Will Davis that isn't even written by either of them, but, whatevs. Do you guys wanna play a show at MassBay or MassArt? If so, I can make it happen so let me know.

@Drew, I hear ya man, blogging is definitely addicting. Any recommendations I should check out as far as other cool blogs go?

BTW, I've tried to get the guys in the band to write articles for the blog, but it's like herding cats...I think they're just too busy writing music and creeping out girls. Asgard show coming up, you gonna make it?

A few potent potables that came out of the show:

Don't lose your wallet in a NY cab.

Liqour stores are open forever.

BBQ Korean food is expensive.

Aaron is consistently hilarious.

I drive the city like John Daly.

People will offer you unsolicited drugs even during a hurricane.

C'mon, service industry workers. A little English, please...

Cab drivers: Don't ask me if I know how to get to where I'm going.

Need more Roy Rodger's restaurants in this area.

$9.50 for a pack of cigarettes?!?!

Scott brings beer to bed with him...scott spills beer all over bed...scott "really doesn't think the cleaning people will notice..."

Guitar strings should be made of some unbreakable material....like dreams that never die.

I literally have no idea if Robby made it back or not. Thoughts?

Quote of the Day: Conconut Jones in response to his repoir with his audience, "If they don't hate me in the first five minutes, I haven't done my job. If they don't love me by the last five minutes, they haven't done theirs."

A couple of things to quickly add to Justin's great list...

Robbie likes to get drunk and start fights with people walking in the street

It's not the best idea to walk out on the balcony of your hotel room

Tipping is essential for getting help at a hotel. In case you need a refresh on who you have to tip please refer to "Opening Night" the season 4 finale of Curb

Sometimes ppv porn is ordered in your room without anyone telling you

Go Penn State!

The only thing better than one Mavrikos, is two Mavriki

Erica has a hot cousin

and finally... there's no better way to start a Chillset show than a quick commercial break!

Just to let you all know...when you google image 'railroad betty' both Steven and Jennifer Keaton from the popular 80's television series, "Family Ties" come up...it's amazing. I have picked one picture and made it the image you see on myspace.com/chillsetmusic when you play that dirty train!
